Psychology on Hay · Subiaco

A safe, supportive space grounded in lived experience and clinical depth.

Metin Erok, Registered Psychologist. Compassionate, evidence-based psychological care for adults. I support adults experiencing the effects of trauma, anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, grief and loss, substance misuse, and other mental health challenges. My approach is warm, collaborative, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive, with therapy tailored to each person’s goals, strengths, and circumstances.

About US

Trauma-informed, compassionate psychotherapy for the moments that matter.

Psychotherapy is grounded in a compassionate understanding of the human experience and guided by evidence-based practice. I tailor therapy to each person’s individual needs, drawing on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and psychodynamic principles where appropriate.
My practice is trauma-informed and centred on building a collaborative, trusting therapeutic relationship. I strive to create a safe and respectful space where people from all backgrounds feel understood, supported, and empowered to work towards meaningful and lasting change.

Approach

Five principles that quietly shape every piece of work.

Therapy works best when it feels safe, predictable, and genuinely human. These are the commitments I bring to every session.

Client-centred

Therapy shaped around your story, values and goals never a template.

Psychodynamic, EMDR, CBT, CPT, ACT and MBCT the right tool for the work.

A protected, paced space, with safety and consent at the centre of every step.

Compassionate

Warmth and respect at the centre of every conversation, especially the hard ones.

Cross-culturally aware
